NORM -Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials

Naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORM) can become hazardous to humans when they are exposed to these by performing geological investigations such as oil and gas exploration, drilling and production. Radon, Radium, and Uranium are just a few of the NORM materials that can cause elevated non-occupational and occupational radiation exposure to people. We provide the services of NORM measurements and decontamination procedure development and determining if these exposures are hazardous to your personnel. We can also provide disposal of NORM for your company. We can also provide radiation safety training for your personnel that may be exposed to NORM.

Radioactive Material Disposal

If you have radioactive material (RAM) that you need to dispose of through industrial, nuclear medicine, educational or other applications, we can assist you in disposing of RAM. We may also provide any changes to your regulatory agency licenses provided by your State or The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). We may also provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of radioactive materials, prepare RAM for shipment and provide monthly, quarterly and annual inspections of RAM records for receipt, use, and disposal.

Wipe Testing

If you have licensed radioactive materials that need to be monitored on a regular basis or shipped they may require wipe testing. We provide wipe testing of all radioactive materials and also provide wipe testing of the areas in your facility where you are using RAM. We can also establish a wipe testing program at your facility providing this service for you or train your personnel to provide this service for you to meet requirements of your RAM license.
