Radioactive material wipe tests are performed on-site at your facility.
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC) requires periodic wipe testing of sealed sources and for the work sites using radioactive
material for medical procedures and manufacturing instruments that utilize radioactive materials. Tests are performed according
to your USNRC licensing conditions. Some of the most frequent wipe test requests that we perform are from sealed sources of
radioactive material including, but are not limited to: Cesium 137 (Cs-137), Cobalt 57 (Co-57), Cobalt 60 (Co-60), Americium
241 (Am-241), Tritium (H3), Carbon 14 (C-14), Depleted Uranium (DU). Analysis is performed using liquid scintillation, gamma
spectroscopy and we also use calibrated geiger counters to perform area surveys for contamination and exposure testing. Radiation
safety training is also available for authorized users on the USNRC license. We also provide USNRC license changes by developing
license amendments to fit your changing needs for other types and quantities of radioactive materials.
